Hey... Just attended DownPour in Great Falls!! Great Bands... why does the bass drum (and other instruments) have to be so loud it drowns out the vocals, etc. It actually hurt our ears... thank heavens they were selling earplugs for a buck. But really... why is that necessary? I'm listening to the 2011 Anaheim Harvest Festival on line... the vocals are awesome... the bands supports the songs without drowning out the words. I asked someone at DownPour why so loud... they said, "That's just how it is these days." I said, "That is the way of the world... we are not to be OF the world!" We are also to be good stewards... that includes of our eardrums. Seriously, look at the stats of hearing loss due to unreasonable volumes... including concerts. SING MAN... lower the bass drum, lower the volume so people do not need to buy earplugs... glorify God as IF Jesus were in the stadium in the flesh with His hearing in tact. WHAT WOULD JESUS DO????
